What does Dust-to-Digital Do?
We reveal and amplify rare music from around the world.
We provide essential historical context that allows the listener to understand why the music matters, not only to those who performed it and whose lives were bathed in it, but why it matters to us. Our projects are grounded in music but often include film, photographs, and the oral traditions of the people whose music we celebrate.
How do you work?
We choose a few projects each year. Working with archivists, musicologists, folklorists, and scholars, we bring together music, photographs, film, and oral history to tell stories that have, until now, been obscured.
At this time, our project calendar is full for the next three to five years.
Are you looking for partners?

Can I submit a project idea to Dust-to-Digital?
You can send a description of your idea to info@dust-digital.com. To assist you in developing the idea, and articulating its viability, please answer the following questions:
Describe the central theme of your idea in no more than 100 words.
What unique insight or point of view does your project idea have?
Who is the audience?
Do you own the rights to the material?
What can I expect if I propose a project to Dust-to-Digital?
You can expect a reply about whether or not your idea is one we want to discuss with you. We will respond within 60 days, via email.
ORDERS
How do I order from you?
You can order from this website by going to https://dust-digital.com/shop/full-catalog
You may find our products in your local record store or ask them to order for you.
How long will it take to receive my order?
If you select media mail, the US Postal Service estimates 5-14 days.
If you select priority mail, the US Postal Service estimates 1-3 days.
What determines the cost of shipping?
Two things determine cost. 1. The weight of the item and 2. Priority level, which determines how quickly you will receive it.
Media mail is less costly than priority mail.
International shipping of packages over 4lbs must be done via Priority Service. The less costly option is not available if the weight of the item is 4lbs or more.
What should I do if my order is missing?

What is your return policy?
Please let us know if your product is damaged or otherwise in poor condition. We will send you a shipping label to return it to us and we will gladly replace it. Send a message to: orders@dust-digital.com.
ADVICE
Will you tell me if my idea has merit, even if you don’t want to work on it?
We are unable to provide evaluations and recommendations of the many projects we hear about.
Can we meet to discuss my idea?
Because we receive so many requests for collaboration, we cannot meet with everyone who contacts us.
